Since April 2018, I’ve been proud to serve individuals and families as an insurance agent. Our office offers Auto, Home, Motorcycle, Boat, and Life Insurance, along with other options to help customers understand their choices and find the right protection for their needs.

I grew up in Glen Burnie, Maryland, and graduated from Glen Burnie High School in 2000. During high school, I played football and lacrosse, competed in shot put, and played clarinet in the marching band. I went on to attend Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Communications in 2004. While at Lycoming, I played lacrosse, was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon, and worked in the Sports Information Department for three years. After college, I spent a year as an intern in the Sports Information Department at the University of Delaware.

Today, I live in Owings Mills, Maryland, with my wife, Rachael. We’ve been married since May 2009 and have three children: Serafina, Claire, and Richard. When I’m not spending time with my family or serving customers, you’ll often find me working out in the gym or in the home gym I built, enjoying a sauna session in my wood-burning tent sauna, or listening to music. Punk is my go-to genre.

I became an insurance agent because I’ve always enjoyed being a bright spot in an area that may not seem that bright or interesting. That mindset continues to shape how I approach my work and how I serve the people in our community.

Our goal is to help customers understand their risks and then give them the information they need to make decisions that are right for them. We know that everyone’s situation is different, and we want to help people take the next step rather than feeling like everything must be done all at once.

Building relationships starts with meeting people where they are and communicating in the way that works ideally for them. Whether that means texting, email, phone calls, virtual meetings, or sitting down together in person, we want our customers to get to know us while we take the time to get to know them.

My previous experience in real estate and loans has also given me valuable perspective when helping customers with their homeowners insurance.

Community involvement is also a big part of what we do. I currently serve as the chairman of the Reisterstown Festival and previously served on the board and as chair of the Greater Baltimore Chamber of Commerce. I also currently serve on my college’s Alumni Association Board. Being involved in the community gives us another opportunity to connect with the people and organizations around us.
